NFL Official Betting Partnerships

Official betting deals between sports leagues and sportsbooks are becoming increasingly popular, with more people participating in wagering on games. These deals allow sportsbooks to provide official league data, promote their relationship with the league, and even tie their brands to certain statistics. However, NFL has yet to officially designate any of these betting partners. That could change in the near future. Here’s a look at the history and future prospects of official betting partnerships with NFL teams.

The Supreme Court ruled in 2018 that sports betting is legal in the U.S., and the NASCAR needed a betting solution to cater to fans in the state. To that end, NASCAR developed an official data product and betting solution for sportsbooks. The result is the first of its kind, allowing sportsbooks to take bets on every lap of a race. The resulting official betting solution allows fans in regulated states to enjoy a more interactive live sports experience.

The NBA and NFL have not yet struck such a partnership, but MGM sportsbooks will be able to feature the logos of those leagues on their oddsboards. Other leagues might pursue similar deals. The CEO of William Hill U.S. says the company gets calls everyday from teams looking to establish a betting partnership. The deal is not a guarantee, but it could pave the way for other leagues to enter into similar deals.
